One of the most wonderful displays of friendship is through words of affirmation & encouragement, shared especially during times of change. One of my amazing roommates gave me a note and a copy of her favorite book, The Alchemist, as a graduation gift. In her note, she included this quote:
"We are afraid of losing what we have, whether it's our life or our possessions and property. But this fear evaporates when we understand that our life stories and the history of the world were written by the same hand." - The Alchemist
can't wait to dive into this book during the first moments of life post college.

ps have you read "a severe mercy" ? you must read it!! esp since you're getting married. it's a really beautiful love story...and my favorite book.
